EuroCham Chemical Working Group Policy Meeting with BPJPH

On August 21, the EuroCham Chemical Working Group held a courtesy meeting with the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH)) to discuss the mandatory halal implementation for chemical products, which is set to take effect in 2026.

We were warmly welcomed by Ibu Fertiana Santy (Director of Partnership and Cooperation) and Bapak Yanuar (Head of Sub-Directorate for Partnerships and International Halal Cooperation). The EuroCham Chemical Working Group was represented by Inezia Aurelia (Head of WG), Haqiki Aplesiasfika (Deputy Head of WG), along with representatives from member companies.

The Chemical Working Group reiterates its commitment to support the government’s policy in ensuring a smooth transition during the halal phasing process for the chemical industry, and looks forward to maintaining constructive dialogue.
