FGD on Implementation of Regulated Agent and Authorized Economic Operator

EuroCham participated in a Focus Group Discussion held by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs. Conducted on 28 June 2018, the discussion focused on finding similarity between security screening of export goods by Regulated Agent (RA) and security measures required by the Customs for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). Both AEO and RA initiatives highlight the importance of cargo security as a part of supply chain.

The FGD also invited representatives from Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise from the Ministry of Finance, Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Ministry of Transportation, the Indonesia Logistics and Forwarder Association, IATA as well as AEO companies.
