IEU CEPA Negotiation Debriefing with the EU Chief Negotiator, Filip Deraedt

On 24 November 2021, EuroCham Indonesia had the unique opportunity to meet with the EU’s Chief Negotiator for the Indonesia-EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU CEPA). The EU’s Chief Negotiator, Filip Deraedt, provided EuroCham with an update as to the progress of the recently concluded round of negotiations and conveyed his aspirations for success in the succeeding round of negotiations. EuroCham Indonesia’s team at this virtual meeting was led by the Vice Chairman, Wichard von Harrach, and was attended by members of EuroCham’s Board as well as Gold and Platinum members. During this meeting, EuroCham conveyed its expectations and questions related to the IEU CEPA negotiations. The meeting was a unique opportunity for EuroCham to contribute towards efforts to strengthen EU-Indonesia trade ties and work towards improving competitiveness and ease of doing business in Indonesia.
