Indonesia-Europe Investment Summit

The European Business Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (EuroCham) successfully hosted its flagship event, the Indonesia-Europe Investment Summit 2024 (IEIS), under the theme "Bridging Horizons: European Investment and Indonesia’s Path to a Sustainable Future," on December 9, 2024. The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry / Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and the EU Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam.

The Summit provided a platform to strengthen economic partnerships between Europe and Indonesia while showcasing sustainable investments made by European investors in Indonesia. This provided the opportunity to launch its 2024 Position Papers, developed by its sectoral Working Groups. These papers highlight EuroCham’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s sustainable economic growth, enhancing resilience, and fostering dialogue between businesses and policymakers to help achieve the government’s 8% economic growth target. We were honored to have H.E. Rosan Roeslani (Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry of the Republic of Indonesia) deliver the keynote address, with opening remarks by H.E. Denis Chaibi (Ambassador of the European Union to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam) and Francois de Maricourt (Board Member of EuroCham Indonesia), and closing remarks by Vera Galuh Sugijanto (Board Member of EuroCham Indonesia). H.E. Dudy Purwagandhi (Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia) was also in attendance, underscoring the critical role of transportation infrastructure in supporting investment and global supply chain integration.

The Summit explored two critical topics through interactive discussions led by distinguished speakers representing policymakers and businesses. The sessions addressed government initiatives in sustainable investment, European business expertise, and the role of global supply chains in unlocking economic growth.
