Joint Advocacy on Lead Time of Import of Consigned Goods at Airports

Published on 29 November 2017

EuroCham with the US-ASEAN Business Council visited the Directorate General of Customs and Excise Office on 29 November 2017 to convey concerns regarding the current condition of lead time for import clearance at airports. Such problem is a result of longer storage time of goods at warehouse, while most imported goods via airfreight are often time sensitive and require quick clearance—critical for manufacturing companies.

Responding to the concerns, DG Customs representative Mr. Anju Hamonangan Gultom (Head Section for Import) advised EuroCham and the US-Asean Business Council to submit written inputs prior a follow up meeting with the Director of Technical Customs, Mr. Fajar Doni scheduled the following week.
