Trade & Investment Dialogue East Java (CEPA Roadshow)

The European Union (EU) Delegation to Indonesia and representatives of EU Member States and business, including EuroCham, conducted a two-day visit to the Province of East Java on the 5th and 6th of December. The visit aims to meet with stakeholders to discuss trade and investment opportunities and raise awareness of the ongoing EU-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations.

One of the highlights of the visit was a panel discussion entitled, “Trade with Europe is Good for Indonesia!”, which was held on the 6th of December whose panelists included EuroCham’s Board Member, Gustaaf Reerink, along with Marika Jakas, Head of Trade and Economic Section of the EU Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. The discussion highlighted Indonesia’s consistent trade relations with EU and the untapped potential natural resources that Indonesia could benefit from.

The panel discussion was attended by representatives of the EU member states, the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, KADIN, and representatives of various trade and industry associations in East Java. The visit serves as part of the EU’s series of Trade & Investment visits to various provinces throughout Indonesia.
