In order to provide assistance in handling the COVID-19 pandemic, Danone Indonesia together with the DKI CSR Forum visited the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in Jakarta on Monday (24/8). The assistance provided was in the form of four ventilator machines, 2,500 N95 masks, and 10,000 surgical masks. The VP General Secretary of Danone, Vera Galuh Sugijanto, together with the Chairman of DKI Jakarta’s CSR Forum, Mahir Bayasut, handed over the assistance directly to the Head of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Doni Monardo, at the BNPB office.

Vera explained that this assistance was part of Danone Indonesia's initiative and commitment to support efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia through its two main business units, namely Danone-AQUA and Danone Specialized Nutrition Indonesia with a total amount of IDR 30 billion. "We are working with various parties to distribute the aid. Some of this assistance was distributed in the form of cash, PPE, ventilator machines, and Danone products and will be destined to a number of hospitals that deal with COVID-19 in Indonesia, " Vera stated. The assistance is also given directly to people affected by this pandemic. The assistance submitted by Danone Indonesia will then be forwarded by BNPB to hospitals and health facilities in need.
