IKEA donated 17,500 reusable face masks and 250 mattresses to the West Java Task Force as COVID-19 assistance in the region. This initiative was also made possible with the support of the Government of West Java, the Swedish Embassy, and Business Sweden, which is an official business institution under the auspices of the Swedish government. This donation is part of the IKEA Indonesia campaign, the Blue Bag Project, a social initiative forum to facilitate collaborative efforts between IKEA Indonesia and customers to support various social problems that occur in areas that IKEA operates in.

“IKEA has a strong commitment to make a positive impact on society, the community and the earth where we live, and one of the efforts we do is through the Blue Bag Project. West Java is one of the important areas for IKEA and we are committed to making a positive impact for West Java and its people. Today, we are very pleased to be working with the West Java government to provide assistance and create a better everyday life for the people of West Java,” said Patrik Lindvall, the President Director of PT HERO Supermarket Tbk.

In addition to this, IKEA Indonesia is collaborating with the Bogor Regency Government to deliver staple food packages for 1,000 families around its operational areas through the IKEA Peduli Program.
