Published on 9 June 2022

In line with the company's vision, which is to create a better everyday life for many people, IKEA Indonesia always strives to meet the needs of household furniture and people's lifestyles. Today, IKEA Indonesia brings the KASEBERGA collection, which is a collaboration product with the World Surf League (WSL), the leading sports organization for world surfers. IKEA continues to innovate to match the needs of home furnishings with an active lifestyle. This collection comes with a functional and stylish design and is made from recycled and renewable materials. KASEBERGA's products are designed to support the active lifestyle of people who are aware of environmental sustainability.

Although the KASEBERGA collection is inspired by the lives of world surfers, this product is not only intended for surfers but is also useful for supporting people's active lifestyles. For example, the KASEBERGA beach bag, a functionally designed bag inspired by the iconic IKEA blue bag. This bag has two compartments to separate wet and dry items. In this collection, there are also KASEBERGA products that support a sustainable lifestyle, namely KASEBERGA bags and backpacks that use more renewable materials such as polyester that is recycled from plastic waste in the sea. According to data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), plastic waste in Indonesia's oceans reaches 6.8 million tons per year.

The KASEBERGA collection is inspired by the daily life of surfers who are close to the sea and their concern for the cleanliness of the sea. Therefore, KASEBERGA products made from renewable and recycled materials are here to support the active lifestyle of people who are aware of environmental sustainability. “One of our focuses this year is to support sustainable living at home. Therefore, we are always innovating to seek new partnerships to develop new products to support IKEA's vision, which is to create a better everyday life for many people," said Country Marketing Manager, IKEA Indonesia, Dyah Fitrisally. “Today we are introducing the KASEBERGA collection, all of which are made from recycled and renewable materials. We believe that through this product, more and more people are inspired to fight plastic pollution and adopt sustainable lifestyles to create a cleaner environment,” added Sally.
