Unilever Indonesia Distributes Handwashing Facilities and Education to More Than 48 Thousand Families in DKI Jakarta

As one of the efforts to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Unilever Indonesia donated 385 units of portable handwashing facilities that were distributed through the COVID-19 or STPC-19 Handling Task Force. The portable handwashing facility will be located in 63 tight surveillance area – “ Wilayah Pengendalian Ketat” in DKI Jakarta and reach 48,529 families. The program implementation was also strengthened by education on Clean and Healthy Behavior – “Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat” and New Habit Adaptation – “Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru” which will be carried out through Lifebuoy and KlikDokter as partners.

“After donating more than 40,000 PCR test kits through the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Unilever Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to take a role in handling COVID-19. The pandemic has made people realize the importance of washing hands with soap as a step to avoid the disease. With our brand, Lifebuoy, which has more than 86 years guarded Indonesian families against germs, we want to provide wider access, especially at COVID-19 vulnerable areas to protect the society from diseases with a good and correct handwashing habit,” explained Sancoyo Antarikso, Director of Governance & Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary of PT Unilever Indonesia.
