EuroCham SDG Talk #2

Following the successful Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Talk #1 event, EuroCham Sustainable Development Working Group collaborated with EuroCham Energy Working Group to conduct the SDG Talk #2. The theme of the event is “Renewable Energy, the New Norm? Myth or Reality,” which was conducted via a webinar on 5 November 2020.

The webinar highlighted SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) on how renewable energy can be an alternative to clean energy, providing affordable solutions for the community. The event also highlighted the commitment of EuroCham members to access Renewable Energy despite challenges such as policy uncertainty, market barriers, financing barriers, and low renewables manufacturing capacity.

The webinar serves to also promote the launching of the 2nd EuroCham Contribution to SDGs Report and support the EU Climate Diplomacy Week 2020. The webinar was held to share best practices and real experience on the SDGs implementation by EuroCham members and was joined by more than 70 participants.
