Unilever & Women in Business Action Council Encourage More Women Leaders

Women in Business Action Council, Presidency B20 Indonesia and PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. take part in the 2022 Women Leaders Forum (WLF) webinar: “Achieving an Equal Future” held to commemorate International Women's Day which this year carries the spirit of #BreakTheBias. Creating a work environment and climate that mainstreams gender equality is one of the important keys to growing more women leaders. This is one of the important commitments of Unilever Indonesia.

Ira Noviarti, President Director of PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. as well as Chair of the Women in Business Action Council, Presidency of B20 Indonesia (B20 WiBAC) explained, “Unilever Indonesia continues to strengthen commitments and partnerships to create gender equality throughout the company's value chain; in line with one of the sustainability pillars in the strategy of 'The Unilever Compass', which is to contribute to a more just and inclusive world. Not only that, efforts to break gender bias are also carried out by Unilever Indonesia through campaigns carried out by a number of our brands to create a wider climate of gender equality in society.” “Especially in terms of removing barriers and creating equal opportunities for women, one example is promoting gender balance within the company, where currently, 5 of our 9 Board of Directors are women, while at the next senior leader level we have also achieved the percentage is almost 50% women,” continued Ira. This spirit is in line with what B20 WiBAC is fighting for to encourage representation of women's leadership.
