On Friday, 20th of January 2023, the Pharmaceutical & Medical Technology Working Group Leaders met virtually with EuroCham’s new member company, Siloam Hospitals, to discuss alignment of Siloam’s objectives with the working group’s advocacy objectives. Siloam Hospitals was represented by Varun Khanna (Managing Director of Healthcare Business & Investments) and Vinka Lo (Head of Referral Business Department). EuroCham was represented by Hanum Yahya (Head of Working Group), Wulaning Putri (Deputy Head), and Andri Kusandri (Deputy Head).

On January 19, EuroCham virtually attended a public consultation on the Bill of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation hosted by Universitas Borobudur. This meeting was opened by the Rector of Universitas Borobudur, Prof. Ir. H. Bambang Bernanthos, M.Sc and followed with a keynote speech by the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto. This public consultation invited distinguished guests from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Manpower, the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and academicians from Universitas Borobudur. This provides a good opportunity for the public to raise their concerns on the Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation. The consultation was concluded with a Q&A session with the participants.
