On October 11th, 2023, EuroCham Indonesia was invited to attend the HSBC Summit 2023 in Navigating Indonesia’s Path: Insight for Today, Visions for Tomorrow at St. Regis Jakarta.

CEO of HSBC Indonesia, Francois de Mariocourt gave his welcoming remarks, followed by keynote speeches from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, H.E Airlangga Hartanto and the Expert Staff of Financial Services and Capital Markets of Kementerian Keuangan Indonesia, Mr. Arief Wibisono. The HSBC Summit 2023 highlighted some of the important issues such as strategies for growth to increase Indonesia’s economic resilience and implementation of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG).

Invited to Ayana Jakarta on October 6th, 2023, EuroCham Indonesia was honored to meet the Chairman of Jakarta Japan Club (JJC), Mr. Ueda Hiroyuki (President Director of Toyota Astra Motor), and the Vice Chairman of JJC, Mr. Sinichi Kikuchihara (President Director of Mitsui Indonesia).

This meeting concluded a constructive discussion on the current business climate in Indonesia and collaboration opportunities. We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Ueda Hiroyuki and Mr. Sinichi Kikuchihara for the courtesy meeting with EuroCham Indonesia Chairman, Francois de Maricourt (CEO of HSBC Indonesia), and EuroCham Board Member, Gustaaf Reerink (Foreign Counsel of Ali Budiardjo, Nugroho, Reksodiputro / ABNR Counsellors at Law).
