On October 17th, 2023, the EuroCham Human Resources (HR) Working Group had its regular meeting in the EuroCham Office. This meeting was led by the Head of the Working Group, Miguel Latorre (Managing Director of VISTRA Indonesia & Malaysia and Head of Commercial Corporates of Southeast Asia), and the Deputy Heads, Rakhman Sapta Ferdinansyah (Associate Director of HR & Payroll Services at TMF Group), and Sylviawati Tanuwikarta (Human Resources Manager at Siemens Indonesia).

The members discussed the latest policy updates and EuroCham’s advocacy work on personal data protection. Also in this opportunity, Miguel Latorre, as the Head of the Working Group, retired from his position and will embark on a new path from EuroCham and his personal career. EuroCham would like to thank him for his leadership and contribution throughout this time. EuroCham also would like to congratulate Rakhman Sapta Ferdinansyah for being the new Head of the HR Working Group.

EuroCham attended the Public Consultation on the Revision of BPOM Regulation No. 27 of 2022 on the supervision of Importation of Drugs and Food into Indonesian Territory, invited by BPOM held on 16 October 2023.

The Public Consultation discussed the revisions on the import of drugs and food into Indonesia, including changes from post-border to border supervision of certain commodities under the authority of BPOM aimed at reducing and preventing the entry of illicit goods. These commodities include drugs, cosmetics, and food.
