EuroCham attended the 35th ASEAN Cosmetic Committee Meeting
As a continuation of the ASEAN Cosmetic Committee (ACC) session, the EuroCham Cosmetics Working Group was once again invited by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) as an observer to the 35th ACC Meeting which was held online on 25 - 27 May 2022. In this meeting, Indonesia served as the Vice-Chair of the Meeting and Cambodia as the chair. This year’s Meeting continued to be conducted online and was attended by representatives from the relevant technical units of BPOM, the related ministries, as well as associations representing the cosmetics industries. The Meeting discussed several issues such as Country Specific Requirements (CSR), Certificate of Free Sale (CFS), Inclusion on Notification number and 2D Barcode, as well as nano labelling.
Socialization of Minister of Trade Regulation No. 25 of 2022
EuroCham attended a socialization event on 24 May 2022 on the new Minister of Trade Regulation No. 25 of 2022 regarding the Revision to the Minister of Trade Regulation No. 20 of 2021 on Import Provisions and Policies. The socialization event was opened by Veri Anggrijono (the Acting Director General of Foreign Trade), and presented the main changes brought about by the regulation as delivered by Moga Simatupang (Director of Import of the Ministry of Trade). Several other officials from the Ministry of Trade also provided their insights along with a number of representatives from the LNSW who presented the implementation of the Single Submission Policy in the application of licensing, with a speaker from the Customs Main Office who shared updates related to the customs procedures towards the end of the event.
