Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology Working Group Meeting

Closing the year of 2021, the EuroCham Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology Working Group on 14 December gathered to discuss recent government policy in actualizing the independence of the sector to promote national resilience for Indonesian healthcare, as well as the challenges dealt by the members companies.

The meeting invited Bimo Widjayanto from the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment as a guest speaker, who shared his intake on the government's effort in strengthening national resilience in the healthcare sector as well as strategic policy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The overall discussion was moderated by Harimurti Listianto (Deputy Head of Working Group), and joined by Wulaning Putri (Deputy Head of Working Group), Hanum Yahya (Head of Working Group) and other members who were very actively contributing to the discussion.

FGD BPOM with Cosmetics Associations

EuroCham Cosmetic Working Group was invited to attend a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on 8 December 2021 which was held by the Directorate for Standardization of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplement, and Cosmetics of the National Agency for Food and Drug Control (BPOM). The FGD discussed the outcome of 34th ASEAN Cosmetics Scientific Body (ACSB) Meeting. The purposes of the FGD was to seek for inputs as well as to ask the readiness of cosmetics companies to conduct reformulation of products which use Carcinogenic, Mutagenic Reprotoxic (CMR) in its ingredients in case of BPOM in the future plan to ban its usage. The FGD collected inputs on additional of new ingredients as well as changes of requirements on several cosmetic Ingredients. The overall event was chaired by the Director of Standardization of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplemens, and Cosmetics, Drh. Rachmi Setyorini, MKM.
