On Friday, 20 November 2020, the EuroCham Agriculture, Food, and Beverage Working Group organized a meeting with its member companies. The meeting was moderated by Mr. Doni Wiroto Wibisono and Mr. Dendy A. Borman, as the Head and Deputy Head of the Working Group. The Meeting discussed and shared updates on halal issues, and the latest issuance of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation that potentially impact the sector.

EuroCham was invited to a Public Consulation on the Implementation of the Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs on 30 November 2020. The Meeting shared the current process undertook by the government to formulate the implementing regulations of the Law No. 11 of 2020. The Meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister for International Economic Cooperation of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Dr. Rizal Affandi Lukman. This Meeting also invited the relevant ministries or agencies, which comprised of:

• DG Tax of the Ministry of Finance
• The Ministry of Environment and Forestry
• The Ministry of Manpower,
• The Indonesia Coordinating Board,

The overall discussion was moderated by the Assistant Deputy Minister for Multilateral Economic Cooperation of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Dr. Ferry Ardiyanto.
