On Wednesday, 29 January 2020, EuroCham held a Food and Beverage Working Group Meeting. The meeting was hosted by Frisian Flag in one of their facility. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Agriculture, Food and Beverage Working Group, Mr. Doni Wiroto from Frisian Flag and discussed the few regulatory developments, including related to Law No. 21/2019 on Quarantine for Animals, Fish, and Plants, Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation on Waste Reduction Road Map by Producers, and also DG Customs Regulation No.16/2019 on Physical Forms and/or Design Specifications of Excise Bands for Tobacco Products and Excise Bands for Beverages Containing Ethyl-Alcohol for 2020.

One other important topic discussed was about the latest condition on Import of Dairy Products. In addition, the group also briefly discussed other topics to be included into the next EuroCham Agriculture, Food and Beverage Position Paper 2020 on Food and Beverage sector.

On 24 January 2020, Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology Working Group task force had a meeting to discuss about the upcoming publication of position paper 2020. The meeting decided to highlight about “The Availability and Accessibility of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices for Indonesian Patients”. The paper also will describe the market growth in Indonesia. The paper is expected to be released on April 2020 and currently under drafting process. In addition to the papers, the group also discussed work plan for activities in 2020.
