On 7 February 2020, representatives from EuroCham Finance and Tax Working Group together with US-ASEAN Business Council, Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Jakarta Japan Club met with Leli Listianawati, Deputy Director for International Tax Information Exchange Sub Directorate of Directorate General of Tax, Ministry of Finance. The purpose of the meeting was to prepare agenda and topic of discussion, as well as technical detail for upcoming meeting with Suryo Utomo, Director General of Tax.

It was agreed during the meeting that the Directorate General of Tax will present upcoming changes introduced by the Draft Omnibus Law on Taxation, and as a response all foreign chambers participating the meeting will present five main challenges in tax paying process, which includes accounting changes, advance certainty, tax audit, tax refund, and digital tax. The meeting with the Director General itself has been conducted on 11 February 2020.

The Ministry of Transportation together with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH through TRANSfer III Project, is developing a program related to green freight and logistics in order to help the efficiency of the logistics system in Indonesia. To develop the study, the TRANSfer III Project Team visited EuroCham office on 7 February 2020 to present their initial findings to the leaders of EuroCham Transport and Logistics Working Group, as well as gather feedback and further inputs for the study.

The study itself will produce action plan related to: 1) a combination of intermodal transport of goods on roads and trains (intermodal freight transport), and 2) modernization of the truck fleet
