Event Reports

On 27 February 2020, the Energy Working Group met at EuroCham office. The meeting discussed few agendas including discussion on hydroelectricity as one of the largest renewable energy sources and tariff scheme for the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for small and large hydro projects. These interesting topics were align with the current draft Presidential Regulation that expected to be enacted this year. Invited as a speaker to present these topics was Sutoyo Siswanto, Vice Secretary General of Indonesia Hydropower Association (INAHA) who is also currently working at PT Kencana Energy Lestari.

The group then continued with the announcement of EuroCham Energy WG annual event, Energy Dinner 2020, which will be hosted at Rumah Maroko, 31 March 2020. In this occasion, Thomas Wagner, Head of Energy Working Group called for the participant’s support for the event. Moreover, as there will a launch of Energy Position Paper, the members were requested to provide feedback as inputs for the draft.

The Cosmetics Working Group met on 18 February 2020 at EuroCham Office. The meeting was to provide regulatory updates on Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 75 of 2019 on Waste Reduction Roadmap by Producers, the National Agency for Food and Drug Control (BPOM) Regulation No. 26 of 2019 on Mechanism of Monitoring Cosmetics Effects, Head of BPOM Regulation No. 12 of 2019 on Contamination on Cosmetics. The meeting also discussed upcoming plans for this year, as well as decide on few priority issues that should be covered in the 2020 Position Paper.
