On 10 May 2019, the EuroCham Transport and Logistics Working Group held its regular meeting. Topics discussed were plan to follow up group activities following the publication of the Transport & Logistics Position Papers 2019. The papers already summarized key issues experienced by member companies from the transport and logistics sector, also offers some recommendations for further improvements of various operational aspects such as taxation in the sector, customs procedures, as well as transportation procedures. This meeting also shared latest interaction with the Ministry of Finance, where EuroCham was appointed as an Advisor to the Government’s Tax Reform Team 2019. More importantly, the group elected in acclamation a new Head of Working Group Mr. Jakob Friis Sorensen (President Director of Kuehne Nagel).

On 8 May 2019, EuroCham Tobacco Working Group held its regular meeting. The Group specifically discussed priority issues on the recently published Tobacco Position Paper, namely Draft Bill on Tobacco, amendment plan for the Control of Tobacco Products provision, Regulatory Consistency on Tobacco Products Control, Tobacco Import Provisions, and Innovation within Tobacco Industry. The Group identified priority issues for the upcoming activities in 2019, as well as relevant stakeholders that need to be engaged to promote an open discussion regarding the tobacco sector.
