Energy Working Group Meeting
Energy Working Group meeting held its meeting on 25 April. The meeting continued the discussion on the renewable energy development in Indonesia. Besides the usual sector policy, the meeting specifically raise the issue on Power Purchase Agreement and Carbon Market by presenting two guest speakers: Luke Devine, Foreign Legal Consultant of Hadiputranto, Hadinoto&Partners who shared the recently launched PLN Bali solar tenders (2 projects with 25MW each) and the new PPA issued along with it; and Agus Wibowo, Deputy Director for Climate Change, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to deliver Upcoming Carbon Market Possibilities for Indonesia.
Automotive Working Group Meeting
On 23 April 2019, the EuroCham Automotive Working Group met to exchange latest updates on policy developments. Specifically discussed were development of draft CO2 Emission-Based Taxation, procedures to get preferential tariffs based on FTAs, import regime on commodities related with the automotive sector including tyres, iron and steel made products. The mandatory application of bonded logistics center for importation of these products by traders are also discussed in this meeting. Also discussed were steps taken by the government to implement the 30 percent biodiesel mixture or B30 Policy currently under testing stage. The group also briefly discussed the latest action taken by the government of EU and Indonesia regarding Crude Palm Oil.
