Meeting with DG Tax, Presenting Joint Proposal from the Industry

Following a meeting with the Government’s Working Group IV and the Directorate General of Tax on 3 August 2017, EuroCham jointly with ALFI and ASPERINDO submitted proposals on the removal of freight forwarding, logistics and other transportation related services from the Minister of Finance Regulation No. 141/2015. A follow up meeting to present these proposals was held by the DG Tax on 7 November 2017. Based on this meeting the proposal to revise the Minister of Finance Regulation No. 141/2015 will be further assessed by the Fiscal Policy Agency.

To provide clarity to the taxpayers in the logistics industry, EuroCham and ASPERINDO during the meeting also suggested the DG Tax to issue a confirmation letter that clarifies which business partners of freight forwarders that should be deducted by Article 23 Income Tax. Another letter is also required to confirm that postal, courier, and express delivery services are among of type of services that do not need to be imposed Article 23 Income Tax, as regulated by the MoF Regulation No. 141/2015.
