Discussion on Education and Vocational Training for Logistics Sector
EuroCham attended an invitation on 17 July 2019 by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to a focus group discussion on education system and vocational training in logistics sector. The purpose of the discussion is to support the government efforts to enhance ready to use human resources in Indonesia, especially for the logistics sector. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Raden Pardede as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, along with Mr. Erwin Raza, Assistant Deputy for Logistics. Contributed in the discussion were various logistics industry players which already implement vocational training programs in their companies, including also few education institutions, as well as sectoral associations. Inputs gathered from the discussion were to be presented as recommendations to the Government of Indonesia.
EuroCham Media Visits
EuroCham is conducting a series of media visits aims to introduce EuroCham and promote advocacy activities, as well as open up possibilities for collaborations in the future. The Secretariat visited the Forbes Indonesia on 10 July 2019, and followed by visit to Tirto.id and InClover on 15 July 2019. These visits also includes general exchange of views and information with the media on the economic and investment climate in Indonesia, and how EuroCham and member companies could contribute to the Economy of Indonesia.
