Energy Working Group Meeting

On 29 May 2019, EuroCham organized the monthly meeting for the energy sector. It took place at Financial Club with agenda to discuss topic that was delivered by a guest speaker in addition to general updates in the renewable energy sector. Ms. Kartika Listriana as a Deputy Director Strategic Economy Zone of Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (CMEA) was invited to share her views on “The Opportunity for Power Plant Investment within The Acceleration Program for Priority Infrastructure in Indonesia”. This meeting elaborated main concerns that were also conveyed by the speakers specifically on development policy of strategic economic zones as regulated by Presidential Instruction No 6 of 2015 and Presidential Regulation No 2 of 2015, which stipulate border and industrial areas, special economic zones, new city development, and strategic tourism area. The session also touch upon the potential of power plant investment in those strategic areas. Afterward, Ms. Thomas Wagner as the Head of Energy Working Group briefly shared updates on palm oil sector associated with renewable energy of biofuel.
