EU – Canada Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA)

With Indonesia and the EU currently engaged in bilateral negotiations, and with Canada and ASEAN recently launched free trade agreement exploratory discussions, EuroCham and ICCC held a joint event to provide an overview regarding the EU-Canda CETA.

Organized on 22 November 2017, the event elaborated benefits for Canadian exporters and outline best practices that help ensure that gains are equally shared between all segments of society. It covered export opportunities provided by the CETA and highlighted the systemic benefits of CETA to shape global trade rules. It also discussed various themes of the CETA with a particular focus on aspects of relevance to Indonesia, including market access gains, progressive investment provisions and broad public private consultations.
