Eurocham Consultative Board and Biannual Meeting
On 13 January 2020, EuroCham together with EU Delegation to Indonesia had the pleasure of hosting the Extraordinary Consultative Board and Biannual Meeting, to provide an insightful discussion among the Executive Board of EuroCham, representative of EU Member States, and EuroCham Working Group leaders.
Corine Tap (Chair of EuroCham), and Wichard Von Harrach (Vice Chair of EuroCham), presented key milestones and achievement over the years, as well as strategy for 2020 and beyond. Followed with a constructive dialog and discussion led by H.E. Vincent Piket, EU Ambassador to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, in fostering better collaboration to strive forward.
A total of 52 participants of distinguished invitees attended the meeting, including representatives from 12 Embassies as well as 5 Ambassadors from EU Member States, namely H.E. Helene Steinhäusl, H.E. Petar Andonov, H.E. Olivier Chambard, H.E. Beata Stoczyńska, and H.E. Valerica Epure.
B Corp Forum 2019 - Dare to Care: Using Business as a Force for Good
B Corp Community in Indonesia, which includes organizations such as Danone-AQUA, Prasetya Mulya, Innate Motion, and SIAP, organized the second barn raising event entitles B Corp Forum 2019 - Dare to Care: Using Business as a Force for Good on 5 December 2019. The one-day event presented two panel discussions. The first panel discussions invites speakers from companies which have received B Corp certification in Indonesia namely Danone-AQUA, Ipsos Indonesia, Mycotech and Indosole, while the second panel speakers are from companies with strong commitment on sustainable business practices such Anomali Coffee, Warung Pintar and Youvit Indonesia.
On fireside chat session, Corine Tap, Chair of EuroCham Indonesia, said "As the principal voice of European businesses in Indonesia, we fully support this initiative by B Corp Community and will encourage all European companies operating in Indonesia to participate in the B Corp certification. Our mission in Indonesia is very clear that we are here to support the Government in achieving its development agenda to provide strong foundation for sustainable economic growth and we believe that part of our contributions is by implementing sustainable business practices".
