Director of Standardization of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements, and Cosmetics – National Agency of Drugs and Food Control (BPOM) held a public consultation on the draft of BPOM Regulation on Supervision of Production and Distribution of Cosmetic products. The draft will revise the previous BPOM Regulation No. 2 of 2020 with the same title. The public consultation was held on 8 December and invited businesses, cosmetics associations and BPOM officials all around Indonesia. It is hoped that through the event, all related stakeholders could give inputs and recommendation in regards to the draft.

EuroCham Intellectual Property and Pharmaceutical & Medical Technology Working Group Leaders held a meeting on December 5. The meeting predominantly discussed the updates on the Patent Amendment Bill and potential joint working group advocacy efforts. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Intellectual Property Working Group, Kin Wah Chow (Principal at Rouse) and the Head of Pharmaceutical & Medical Technology Working Group, Hanum Yahya (Country Head of Public Affairs, Communication and Patient Relations at Novartis). It was concluded that both Working Group shall continue to monitor the development of the Patent Amendment as it has been included in 2023 National Legislation Program.
