Agriculture, Food, and Beverage Working Group Workshop with CITA

On the 19th of October, EuroCham had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Fajry A., Head of Research at the Center for Indonesia Taxation Analysis (CITA), as the guest speaker for the Agriculture, Food and Beverage (AFB) Working Group Workshop at the EuroCham Office. The workshop was moderated by the Head of the Working Group, Ruly Rachman (Senior Manager of Public Affairs of PT Frisian Flag Indonesia). We are truly grateful for the valuable perspectives and insights shared by Mr. Fajry regarding the Sugar-Sweetened Beverages Taxation Policy and for sharing some of the best practices from other countries.

Focus Group Discussion on Plans on Regulation Amendment for Import Approval of Certain Products, Apparel and Apparel Accessories, AES, and Bags

EuroCham Secretariat and several Retail Working Group members joined a Focus Group Discussion with the Ministry of Trade on Plans on Regulation Amendment for Import Approval of products. Consumer goods in the form of 9 finished goods, which are subject to import regulations, include footwear, ready-made clothing and accessories, electronics, two-wheelers and three-wheelers, cosmetics and household health supplies, traditional medicine, health supplements, children's toys, other finished textile goods, and bags.
In most cases, whether a commodity balance has been established or not, the maximum duration of the commodity balance is one calendar year, and the supervision is conducted at the border. A total of 708 tariff/HS code positions are proposed to be transferred to the border.
