BPOM Socialization Event on BPOM Regulation No. 17 of 2022 concerning Cosmetics Ingredients Technical Requirements

On September 21, EuroCham participated in the BPOM socialization on BPOM Regulation No. 17 of 2022 concerning Cosmetics Ingredients Technical Requirements. This hybrid socialization is divided into two sessions, the substances and appendix of the said regulation. BPOM conveyed this regulation is intended to conform with Law No. 11 of 2022 on Job Creation (Omnibus Law) and ASEAN Cosmetic Directive. After each session ended, the participants are encouraged to raise questions or ask for guidance pertaining to this regulation.

Invitation to the Opening Ceremony of IPA Convex

On 21 September 2022, EuroCham attended the opening ceremony of the 46th Indonesia Petroleum Association Convex in JCC. With a theme of "Addressing the Dual Challenge: Meeting Indonesia's Energy Needs While Mitigating Risks of Climate Change", the 46th IPA Convex was officially inaugurated with welcoming remarks by the President of IPA, Mr. Irtiza Sayyed, followed by opening remarks by the Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Investment, H. E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, H. E. Arifin Tasrif, provided his speech and showcased Indonesia’s priority projects in the oil and gas sector as well as the government's efforts and incentives in attracting investment to the sector. One important point addressed by the Minister also is how the government paves the way to a seamless energy transition to increase renewable energy in the energy mix while at the same time maintaining energy supply from oil and gas.

Key figures that attended the ceremony included Vice Minister of Manpower, H. E. Arfiansyah Noor, the Head of SKK Migas, Dwi Soetjipto, Director General of Oil and Gas, Tutuka Ariadji, and the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil.
