On 8 July 2020, EuroCham Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology Working Group conducted a dialogue with the Director of Cement, Ceramics, and Non-Metallic Mineral Processing Industry, Adie R. Pandiangan, to jointly discuss the Minister of Industry Regulation No 16 of 2020 on Local Content for Pharmaceuticals, which was enacted on 26 May 2020. The overall discussion was moderated by Hanum Yahya, the Head of the Pharma and Medtech Working Group.

This Meeting seeks to continue the ongoing engagement of the Working Group with the Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Textile Industry of the Ministry of Industry as well as obtain more detailed information on the newly released regulation, while conveying some of the concerns to reach a common understanding and follow-up actions needed for a solution. As a follow-up to this meeting, EuroCham requests participants to submit inputs related to the regulation by no later than 17 July 2020 so as to align perceptions needed for further clarification from the Ministry of Industry.

On 2 July 2020, EuroCham held the Tobacco Working Group Meeting via Zoom. The Meeting was opened by Andre Setiawan, in his capacity as the Head of the Working Group. In this occasion, the Group discussed several regulatory updates including the Fiscal Stimulus for Taxpayers Impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic; e-commerce licensing regulations and its impact to illicit goods; and Quarantine regulation. The Meeting was concluded by the election of Anita Lestari from HM Sampoerna as the new Deputy Head of the Working Group.
