Energy Task Force Meeting on Position Paper
On 5 February, the EuroCham Energy Task Force met to discuss the EuroCham Energy Position Paper 2021. This annual publication can be regarded as a supportive contribution to Indonesia’s efforts to improve the economy and business climate, as well as the overall well-being of the country. Like in the previous year, the Energy Working Group once again decided to take up the topic of Renewable Energy in Indonesia. Based on this meeting, a number of recommendations will be provided to highlight potential investments in the energy sector that Indonesia can potentially attract.
Meeting on Import-Export Procedures Position Papers
On 4 February 2021, the Head and Deputy Head of the EuroCham Import-Export Procedures Working Group, Rahmat Hidayat from Danone Indonesia and Prita Hapsari from Nestle Indonesia, met to discuss the preparation of the collection of issues for the EuroCham Position Papers 2021. This position papers will take into consideration the ongoing reform by the government conducted through the issuance of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation that also touches upon import-export procedures in Indonesia. The implementing regulations of the law relevant to Trade, Industry’s raw materials, as well as distribution and supply chain are consider relevant for the papers. For the development of the Position Papers 2021, the leaders of the working group also agreed to collect inputs from other member companies, especially related to ongoing or remaining challenges in import-export procedures.
