EuroCham Attended BPOM’s Socialization on New Regulations
On 4 February, the National Drug and Food Control Agency (BPOM) conducted a socialization on new regulations, namely Regulation no. 31 and 32 of 2020 on the Technical Requirements for Cosmetic Labelling and Guideline on How to Produce Good Cosmetic Products. The socialization was opened with remarks delivered by the Deputy for Traditional Medicines, Health Supplement, and Cosmetic Supervision, Reri Indriani, and the Director of Traditional Medicine, Health Supplement and Cosmetic Standardization, Tepy Usia, who elaborated on the key stipulations contained within the new regulations.
Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology Task Force Meeting
On 29 January 2021, the Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology Task Force met to discuss three agendas, namely list of Pharma and MedTech advocacy activity in 2021, Position Paper 2021, and Draft Government Regulation on Halal. This meeting decided:
- The Bimonthly meeting of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Techology Working Group to be organized by end of February or no later than early March, by inviting a speaker from the government;
- The Sectoral Position Paper 2021 is pending until implementing regulations of the Omnibus Law is all released; and
- The working group looks forward for the issuance of the draft Government Regulation on Halal, as only then a comparision with inputs submitted to the relevant ministries can be done.
