Event Reports

The Chemical Working Group held its regular meeting on 18 July 2019 to coordinate future activities and share updates. The topics that being discussed were follow Ups of the priority topics in 2019 Chemical Position Paper, newly issued Regulation on Prevention and Mitigation of Chemical Emergencies Relating to Chemical Industry Business Activities, and latest updates on implementation of halal law requirements. The group agreed in this meeting to continue collaboration with other sectors and associations on advocating common issues, and also agreed to take lead on efforts needed to address industry specific concerns.

The Tobacco Working Group held a lunch meeting on 17 July 2019. The Group met for a get-together and also to discuss the follow ups of some priority issues in the Tobacco Position Paper 2019, namely the issue on Import of Tobacco, Regulatory Consistency regarding Tobacco Products Control, as well as Amendment to Government Regulation No. 109 on Tobacco Products Control. The Group also discussed and exchanged ideas for organizing a potential event that involving Tobacco Working Group.
