On 24 August 2018, Eurocham Energy Working Group met with Mr. Hariyanto, the newly appointed Director of Energy Conservation, Directorate General New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The meeting aim as a courtesy meeting to introduce Eurocham Energy Working Group and find any potential collaboration as well as to find out the direction in the Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency field in Indonesia. Attended to represent the working group were by Ms. Eva Pitterling, Deputy for Energy Efficiency, and Mr. Christophe Comte, Deputy for Power Generation

Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation is of major importance to the EuroCham Energy Working Group and its members. The meeting was concluded with the possible future collaboration to promote energy efficiency towards business and public general.

To provide recent updates on policy changes and discuss advocacy efforts for the automotive sector, EuroCham Automotive Working Group met on 15 August 2018 at EuroCham office. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ary Tjahyono as the Head of Working Group.

Some of on-going issues discussed were latest development in policy on electric vehicle, mandatory biodiesel implementation, as well as automotive import and industry policy. To address members concerns and issues, the Group had identified some key government institutions that will be engaged to further discuss the issues. The Working Group also identified on-going and priority issues for upcoming activities in 2018 and 2019. The Group agreed to tentatively schedule the next meeting in 19 September 2018.
