On the 18th October, EuroCham Indonesia welcomed a courtesy visit by H.E. Mrs. Maria João Lopes Cardoso, Ambassador of Portugal to the Republic of Indonesia. Represented by Agus Ciputra, Chairman of EuroCham & President Director of BASF Indonesia, the meeting discussed the current trends and issues in conducting business in Indonesia, as well as the opportunities for Portuguese companies to conduct business and invest in Indonesia.

On the 18th of October, EuroCham attended the socialization held by the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) on the Presidential Regulation 111/2022. The event was opened by His Excellency Suharso Monoarfa (Minister for Bappenas), who mentioned Indonesia’s vision to become a developed country with high income by 2045 and emphasized the need to innovate and strengthen sustainable priority data. The event was also attended by Margo Yuwono (Head of Statistics Indonesia), Taufik Hanafi (Head Secretary of Bappenas), and Teguh Setyabudi (Director General of Regional Development for Ministry of Domestic Affairs), Vivi Yulaswati (Expert Staff of the Ministry of Bappenas in the Social and Poverty Reduction as Head of the National Secretariat SDGs), and moderated by Yanuar Nugroho (Expert Team Coordinator for the National SDGs Secretariat).
