New Executive Director of EuroCham Indonesia

The Executive Board Members of EuroCham Indonesia is pleased to announce the appointment of Edison Bako as the organization’s new Executive Director as per 1st April 2020. Edison brings to the organization a wealth of knowledge and an array of experiences in stakeholder management and governance engagements through his background in investor relations, corporate communication and strategic board support functions for private and Government institutions in Indonesia.

Edison will bring to the table his vast expertise in dealing with key decision-makers and engaged with major corporate actions for private and government companies, as well as extensive networking with major financial institutions, investors, regulators, and private sector institutions. These are coming handy with his years of experience in financial sector, consultancy, and infrastructure related sector.

Edison was raised and educated in the Philippines and the United States. He holds Master degree from Asian Institute of Management (AIM) at Manila, Philippines, and prior to that he graduated from Purdue University, USA for Bachelor in Political Science.

EuroCham as a Guest Lecturer at Jentera Law School

Continuing the collaboration with Center for Law and Policy Studies (PSHK), EuroCham once again was invited as a guest lecturer at Jentera Law School on 14 April 2020, to share experience about advocacy efforts that are conducted by the private sector. The lecture is part of the Public Policy Advocacy Course from Jentera that is open for public enrollment, and mainly consist of professionals in the field of advocacy, from unicorn company to the grass root civil society organization. Lecture given was more into sharing about the general steps taken in the policy advocacy, particularly by EuroCham in actual advocacy efforts to address certain issues in the past, to give real picture of advocacy world to complete the theoretical teaching that the students had received.

EuroCham welcomes the opportunity for sharing, and emphasized the needs for strong research to see different angles in analyzing a specific situation, the importance of stakeholders mapping, as well as choosing an efficient channel of advocacy in conveying the concerns with appropriate way of communications.
