On the 26th of February, EuroCham members of the Tobacco Sub-Working Group, as part of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Working Group, held its first meeting of the year.

The meeting discussed key policy updates and ongoing issues faced by the sector. The Working Group also planned out future advocacy activities and collaborations with stakeholders for 2025.

We also warmly welcome our newly elected leader Eka Tengkare (BAT) as the Deputy of the FMCG Working Group and Head of the Tobacco Sub-Working Group. The meeting was attended by Astrid Puspitasari (HM Sampoerna) and Hami Setiawan (JTI).

On February 25, 2025, EuroCham Indonesia was delighted to meet with Wim Michiels, Trade & Economic Counsellor for Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore at Flanders Investment & Trade - Asia Pacific. This government agency supports Flemish companies in expanding their businesses abroad while also assisting foreign companies in sourcing high-quality goods and services from Flanders.

During the meeting, we discussed Indonesia's economic policy developments, the ease of doing business, and the opportunities and challenges for foreign businesses engaged in trade and investment in Indonesia. Additionally, we explored potential avenues for further collaboration between EuroCham Indonesia and Flanders Investment & Trade.
