Event Reports

On 31 May, EuroCham, jointly with AmCham Indonesia, SwissCham, US-ABC, EU-ABC, and in collaboration with IPMG, met with Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena, Head of Working Committee of Health Bill, Commission IX of the House of Representatives of Indonesia.

The meeting, led by Evie Yulin, President Director of Merck Tbk & Board Member of EuroCham, discussed the remaining concerns and issues of the Health Bill that may impact the pharmaceutical and medical device industry in Indonesia, as well as the progress update of the Health Bill.

EuroCham is honored to be invited by the Embassy of Germany in Indonesia to attend the Business and Human Rights Dialogue titled “Responsible Business Conduct along Global Supply Chains - The Germany Supply Chain Act and its Implications for Indonesia”. This event provided a platform for various stakeholders to discuss challenges and create solutions to safeguard human rights.

The event was held in 2-panel discussions with distinguished speakers from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, UNDP, GIZ, and others.
