Socialization on Draft BPOM Regulation on Supervision of Manufacturing and Distribution of Traditional Medicines, Quasi Drugs, and Health Supplements
On 12 October, EuroCham attended the National Drug and Food Control Agency (BPOM) socialization on the Draft BPOM Regulation on the Supervision of Manufacturing and Distribution of Traditional Medicines, Quasi Drugs, and Health Supplements. The socialization was led by Irwan, Director of Supervision of Traditional Medicines and Health Supplements of BPOM.
This regulation is critical for the inspection of production and distribution facilities to facilitate supervision, especially in tracing traditional medicinal products, quasi-medicines and health supplements, as well as providing a strong legal umbrella and transparent supervision to business actors.
Pharma & Medtech WG Leaders Meeting
On 7 October, the Leaders of the Pharmaceutical & Medical Technology Working Group convened a meeting to discuss plans for the Working Group’s upcoming events, as well as brainstorm ideas and concepts for future events. The Group held a lively discussion on upcoming events that highlight healthcare reforms and the importance of healthcare communications in the digital era. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Working Group and Country Head of Public Affairs, Communications & Engagement at Novartis Indonesia, Hanum Yahya and was attended by Dr. Harimurti Listianto (the Head of Government Affairs at APL Care), Wulaning Putri (Head of Government Affairs & Business Development at Siemens Healthineers), and Arinda Wahyuningtyas (Communications & Engagement at Novartis Indonesia), along with the EuroCham secretariat.
