On 22 December 2021, the members of the Automotive Working Group met to discuss and exchange updates on latest policy development in the automotive sector. The meeting was chaired by the Head of EuroCham Automotive Working Group, Daniel Purba of Mercedes-Benz. Topics covered among other the issuance of Ministry of Industry Regulation No. 23 of 2021 on Automotive Industry that set out CKD and IKD import mechanism, the issuance of Ministry of Trade Regulation No. 18 of 2021 and No. 20 of 2021 that affected the general import and export procedures, new introduction of the law on harmonization of tax regulations, government plan to impelement net zero emission, implementation commodity balance, import substitution policy, as well as remaining issues in the implementation of the Indonesia National Standard Certification.

On 22 December 2021, a small task force consists of members from the EuroCham Import-Export Procedures Working Group as well as the Agriculture, Food and Beverages Working Group met to specifically discuss and collect feedback on ongoing challenges in implementing Veterinary Control Number labeling. This meeting also discussed its impact on importation process of dairy products. This meeting agreed to start collecting main concerns about the Veterinary Control Number labeling as well as proposals to be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture. The overall meeting was chaired by Rachmat Hidayat (Head of EuroCham Import-Export Procedures Working Group & Government Relation Director of Danone), and joined by Ruly Rachman (Head of EuroCham Agriculture, Food and Beverage Working Group & Senior Public Affair Manager of Frisian Flag), Prita Hapsari (Deputy Head of EuroCham Import-Export Working Group & Customs Head for Zone Asia Oceania Africa of Nestlé), as well as representatives of other member companies.
