EuroCham was invited by the Directorate General of Pharmacy and Medical Devices of the Indonesian Ministry of Health to the 2nd Technofarmalkes event with the theme of, ‘Progressing Step to Achieve National Resilience in Pharma and Medical Device’, which was held for two consecutive days on 23 – 24 August 2022. This hybrid event was opened by dr. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, the Deputy Minister of Health, with the intention of providing a national forum to encourage innovation in the domestic pharmaceutical and medical device fields, both product innovation, health information technology/systems, and policies in line with the spirit of health system transformation.

The forum involved discussions with national and international speakers and experts. The series of events includes business matching of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, bilateral meetings, exhibitions of pharmaceutical and medical device innovations, as well as side events with industries and businesses in the traditional medicine and cosmetics sector.

EuroCham is delighted to participate in the Global Project Quality Infrastructure (GPQI) online Technical Exchange on Standards Development and Implementation in Indonesia and Germany, on 11 August. The event discussed mutual understanding of standardization policies and provided deeper information and knowledge regarding the development and implementation of standards in Indonesia and Germany.

The online discussion was led by distinguished speakers and experts on Standardization, which includes Yustinus Kristianto Widiwardono (Director of Standard Development for Mechanics, Energy, Electrotechnical,Transportation, and Information Technology at the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia), Konny Sagala (Director of Standards and Conformity Assessment Implementation System at National Standardization Agency of Indonesia), Jörg Seifarth (Project Coordinator International Advisory Services at German National Institute for Standardization) and Florian Spiteller (Head of External Relations & Support, German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies of DIN and VDE).
