EuroCham is delighted to be invited to the Trade Advisory Forum organized by Bahar Consulting entitled, “State of International Trade: Toward a New Order or Disorder?” on August 15, 2022. The meeting was conducted online and invited notable speakers, namely the Coordinating Vice Chairman III of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KADIN), Shinta W. Kamdani, the Former Director General of International Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Trade, Iman Pambagyo, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Dody Widodo, and the Executive Director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Yose Rizal D.

In the dynamic discussion, Dody Widodo shared some insights on Indonesia’s current import situation for several sectors and conveyed the government’s target of 60 commodities for the upcoming commodity balance by 2023. The event concluded with a Q&A session from the participants.

On August 1, 2022, the Cosmetic Working Group held its regular Working Group meeting and discussed several issues in the sector including updates on halal certification and the implementation of Minister of Trade Regulation No. 25 of 2022 on Import Regulations and Policy. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Working Group, Uti Daniawati (Unilever), as well as the Deputy of the Working Group, Riva Dwitya Akhmad (L’Oreal), and attended by several members of the Working Group.
