Pre-Events of G20 Summit: Talk Show "Circular Economy of Plastics to Prevent Marine Litter"
On 26 August, EuroCham attended a Pre-Event to the G20 Summit under the theme of , “Circular Economy of Plastics to Prevent Marine Litter”. The talk show was attended by officials from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Alvaro Zurita, Team Leader of the European Union-Germany project on “Rethinking Plastics: Circular Economy Solutions to Marine Litter”, Roger Spranz, co-founder of Making Oceans Plastic Free, and Executive Director of CSEAS. This talk show aimed to shed light on the policies and approaches of both the EU and Indonesia in advancing the circular economy of plastics to address the problem of marine litter. The talk show also aimed to showcase efforts taken by Indonesia and its cities to address the problem of marine plastic litter and promote the implementation of circular economy in Indonesia.
Energy Working Group Meeting
The EuroCham Energy Working Group held its meeting offline at the EuroCham Office on August 25. Chaired by the Head of the Working Group, Thomas Wagner (Envitec Biogas), as well as the Deputy of the Working Group, Miroslav Dijakovic (Cleantech Solar Development) and Thomas Dressen (INDESCO), the meeting was attended by the Chairman of KADIN’S Renewable Energy Committee, Muhammad Yusrizki, as a guest speaker and as well as several members of the Energy Working Group. The Working Group shared some insights about EuroCham’s Energy Working Group advocacy agendas and discussed KADIN’s new initiative on private sector de-carbonization called Net Zero Hub.
