Automotive Working Group Meeting
The EuroCham Automotive Working Group virtually held its regular meeting on Wednesday, 20 July 2022. Chaired by Daniel Purba, Head of the Working Group & Associate Director External Affairs at Mercedes-Benz, the meeting was attended by several members of the Automotive Working Group as well as the EuroCham secretariat. The Working Group discussed general and specific issues affecting the sector including plans to revise Minister of Transport Regulation No. 63 of 1993 on Motor Vehicle Roadworthiness Threshold Requirements, Minister of Trade Regulation No. 25 of 2022 on Import Policy and Provisions, Commodity Balance, as well as plans for changes in the process of national standardization.
Transport & Logistics Task Force Meeting on Consigned Goods
On July 18, EuroCham’s Transport & Logistics (T&L) Task Force met virtually to discuss concerns on the draft regulation of import consigned goods. The members of the T&L Task Force shared concerns about the draft regulation as it is perceived to grant different treatment for foreign forwarding companies in Indonesia.
