Cosmetic Working Group Meets Deputy 2 of the National Agency for Food and Drug Control
On 6 November 2020, the EuroCham Cosmetics Working Group was invited by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) to attend a courtesy meeting held jointly with other associations, consisting of more than 70 participants. The session was opened by welcome remarks from the Deputy 2 of BPOM, Dra. Reri Indriani, Apt, M.Si. and was followed by a presentation from representatives of the Indonesia Cosmetics Association (PERKOSMI), Cosmetics Companies Association (PPAK) as well as from EuroCham. EuroCham was represented by Mrs Uti Mahanani (Head of Cosmetics Working Group) who introduced EuroCham Indonesia and conveyed its concerns regarding the challenges faced by the cosmetics industry.
Energy Working Group Taskforce in EU-DPR Joint Webinar
The EU-Indonesia Partnership Facility, together with other stakeholders, conducted a webinar entitled, “The Future of Renewable Energy in Indonesia, Experience Sharing with the EU.” The webinar was held on 15 October 2020, wherein Thomas Wagner, Head of the EuroCham Energy Working Group, and Nicolas van den Abeele, Deputy Head for Power Generation of the Energy Working Group, presented on behalf of EuroCham to share on how a strong regulator can ensure price and procurement certainty, strong and mandated buyer, as well the bankability of contract in the context of renewable energy in Indonesia in the future.
The aim of this event is to share European experiences on renewable energy development, and how the EU has created legal and institutional frameworks to achieve this, with Indonesian legislators and other stakeholders within the context of current discussions on the draft Bill on New and Renewable Energy in the Indonesian Parliament.
