Event Reports

The Sustainable Development Working Group held a meeting on 1 August 2019 to discuss the progress of the draft report that the group is developing on contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This report is initiated by the working group and under an ongoing project to highlight the contribution of European companies operating in Indonesia to the implementation of SDGs. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Baudouin Coomans from Moores Rowland and the Deputy Head of the Group.

As a follow up to a policy meeting with the National Agency for Food and Drug Control (BPOM), EuroCham Cosmetics Working Group meet again on 26 July 2019 to coordinate advocacy efforts. The group decided to compile a list of cosmetic claims as additional data submitted to BPOM. The group also mapped out the stakeholders that need to be engaged as part of the group’s advocacy efforts, also discussed was the drafting process of Minister of Health Regulation on Cosmetic Industry, as well as latest issuance of circular letter by the Halal Certification Agency (BPJPH) to the industry players in the retail sector regarding separation of display area. Some cross sectoral regulations such as rules for distributors is also monitored by the group.
