On 8 May 2019, EuroCham Tobacco Working Group held its regular meeting. The Group specifically discussed priority issues on the recently published Tobacco Position Paper, namely Draft Bill on Tobacco, amendment plan for the Control of Tobacco Products provision, Regulatory Consistency on Tobacco Products Control, Tobacco Import Provisions, and Innovation within Tobacco Industry. The Group identified priority issues for the upcoming activities in 2019, as well as relevant stakeholders that need to be engaged to promote an open discussion regarding the tobacco sector.

Energy Working Group meeting held its meeting on 25 April. The meeting continued the discussion on the renewable energy development in Indonesia. Besides the usual sector policy, the meeting specifically raise the issue on Power Purchase Agreement and Carbon Market by presenting two guest speakers: Luke Devine, Foreign Legal Consultant of Hadiputranto, Hadinoto&Partners who shared the recently launched PLN Bali solar tenders (2 projects with 25MW each) and the new PPA issued along with it; and Agus Wibowo, Deputy Director for Climate Change, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to deliver Upcoming Carbon Market Possibilities for Indonesia.
