Event Reports

The Energy Working Group held kick-off meeting for 2018 hosted by Jawa Power, to discuss policy update in particularly related with the progress happened in the Energy Sector and the Working Group. Held on 25 January 2018, the meeting was attended by more than 25 participants from various companies, including some new fresh participants. The group discuss on the work plan for 2018, and upcoming events as well as advocacy. One of the notable changes is the inclusion of site visit plan, to Jawa Power Plant, or Siemens, or other members’ plant who volunteered to host in this year. The Working Group agreed to continue the advocacy effort in renewable energy and power generation related issues.

Welcoming the New Year 2018, Finance and Tax Working Group started the activities with working group meeting on 25 January 2018. Chaired by Mr. Sourav Seksaria (Head of Working Group, CFO Coats Rejo), the participants reviewed and evaluated the 2017 activities. In addition, the participants also contributed to the topics that will be discussed in the upcoming working group activities.

Topics including individual expatriate taxpayers, Automatic Exchange of Information, OECD Guidelines, IFRS, and tax audit. The Working Group also discussed the position paper that will be launched in February 2018. Several issues were raised for the Position Paper, such as scrutiny from tax officers in regards to tax audit, dispute at tax court, general investment policy, and other tax-related issues.

For the next activity, the Working Group will hold an event on individual expatriate taxpayer, early March 2018.
