On 26 July 2018, EuroCham Cosmetics Working Group met at EuroCham office to discuss upcoming activities and latest policy changes. The meeting which was chaired by Ms. Uti Daniwati as the Head of Group, serves as a preparatory meeting for the upcoming plan to conduct focus group discussion (FGD) on product claim. Technical aspects discussed during this meeting including the main topics for the FGD as well as relevant speakers that have been identified for each topics. Other relevant stakeholders will also be invited to this FGD including relevant associations and government institutions.

Latest policy changes were also discussed. The member was informed about some recent updates that caused by changes in government policy that may affect cosmetics sector include several BPOM regulations, INSW regulations and recent changes in license registration. Based on the discussion, the Working Group decided to continue communication with the government as a follow up action to advocate issues faced by the members.

The Energy Working Group held the regular monthly meeting on 26 July 2018, with highlight on the presentation of recently released Power Survey 2018.

It started with Mr. Miroslav Dijakovic, Deputy for Renewable Energy who shared the update on Solar PV regulation in the effort to make it exempted as subject to penalty from parallel power generation. Later it was continued with presentation from Mr. Tim Boothman, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), on the result of “Indonesian Power Industry Survey 2018” that was conducted by PwC Indonesia and Indonesia IPP Association (APLSI). Along the meeting also discussed other issue relevant with energy efficiency and conservation, particularly on the update of revision progress toward the relevant government regulation.
