On 11 May 2018, EuroCham working groups jointly discussed the input submission for the halal implementing regulation draft (RPP Halal). The meeting was further follow up to the joint input submission as had discussed earlier amongst cross-sectoral associations and other fellow chambers. Collective input will further proceed through APINDO who are leading the submission to the government.

To support the Sustainable Development Goals, EuroCham organized a Seminar on Implementation of SDGs. The Seminar was conducted on 8 May 2018 at Crowne Plaza Hotel Jakarta. Mr. Baudouin Coomans, Deputy Head of CSR and Sustainable Development Member Forum opened the event and delivered remarks on behalf of the member forum.

Ms. Nina Sardjunani, Team Leader of National Secretariat of SDGs appeared as keynote speaker on behalf of BAPPENAS and also as a panelist. She shared shared progress and development of the implementation of SDGs. Further, Ms. Sadjunani also elaborated government expectation of business contribution in SDGs implementation through Common Shared values (CSV) and also example of some companies that have successfully implementing this concept into their practice.

Moderated by Mr. Pirhot Nababan (EuroCham Policy Advisor), the discussion panel joined by Ms. Sardjunani, Ms. Maya Tamimi (Unilever) and Ms. Eva Pitterling (Tüv Nord). Ms. Maya shared about how Unilever implemented Sustainability principle and how the company work with other relevant stakeholders when implementing the SDGs. As a company that provides services on certification, testing, and inspection, Ms. Eva explained about sustainability reporting in Indonesia.
